Simon Eaddy (born September 14, 1971) is a former New Zealand footballer and coach who played professional in his domestic league and overseas. He is currently the goalkeeper coach for the Canada women's national soccer team.
==Playing career ==
Eaddy began his professional career in his native New Zealand with Football Kingz FC of the National Soccer League in 2000. He would remain with the club for additional year, until eventually moving abroad to Canada to sign with the Ottawa Wizards of the Canadian Professional Soccer League. Eaddy had an outstanding season with Ottawa as the club went undefeated the entire season clinching their third consecutive division title. The achievement marked the second time in CPSL history that a team went undefeated in a season. For his efforts he was awarded the CPSL Goalkeeper of the Year award at the CPSL awards banquet for only conceding 10 goals throughout the entire 2003 season.
In 2006, he returned to New Zealand to sign with Waitakere United of the New Zealand Football Championship. With Waitakere he won the Premiership title in 2007, 2008, and the Championship title in 2008. As the NZFC premiers in 2007, Waitakere was given a berth in the inaugural OFC Champions League. They went on to defeat Ba F.C. of Fiji in the final, becoming the first OFC-League champions. This qualifying for the 2007 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan, where they lost in the play-in match to Sepahan F.C. In 2008, Waitakere United defended their championship in capturing the 2007–08 OFC Champions League, defeating Kossa FC in the final 6-3 in goal aggregate.
